July 16, 2025 — Metaplex, the tokenization protocol used for 99% of token and NFT issuance on Solana, announced today the release of Genesis, a framework for onchain token offerings. Genesis is an audited smart contract framework for launching tokens directly on the Solana blockchain, solving the transparency, front-running and trust issues that have plagued high profile token launches for years.
